5 Tips For Scaling Your Facebook Ads

Share :

1. Don’t overcomplicate it

The account setup that got you to $1,000, $3,000, or maybe even $5,000 per day will also get you (most likely) all the way up to $10,000+ per day.

I see so many founders managing the ads themselves, doing a fantastic job at managing the ads, and then suddenly, they let their emotions drive their changes.

Instead of doing what they were always doing, they introduce new campaign types, scaling up and down like maniacs.

The most important thing is that you stay consistent. If you need to scale down, scale down, but don’t scale down by 50% one day and then up by 50% again the next way.

2. A Variety of Different Creatives

By this, I mean finding UGC Videos, Image Ads, Testimonial Videos, and Carousel ads that perform. The wider the variety of your creatives, the more stable an ad account tends to be.

If one creative got you from spending $1,000 per day to $5,000 and you don’t test new creatives, your Facebook ads can eventually break.

Here’s what one creative stack from one of my clients is currently looking like:

  • Founder Image
  • Founder Video
  • Benefit Image
  • UGC Video
  • DPA Images
  • Carousel
  • Humor Video

This stack got the account from spending $1,000/d to spending $7,000+/d

3. Creative Strategy

It’s not enough to throw in new creatives every once in a while into your creative testing campaign.

Write out your hypothesis, iterate winners, and have clear goals with each creative test in mind. A lot of brands lack clarity in this crucial part. The best creatives will only get you so far.

4. Scale wherever results are good

Whether you have a winner in your creative testing campaign or in your scaling campaign. Just scale winners up. Doesn’t matter where they are, even if they are in your scaling campaign.

5. Know your goals

Your goal in 99% of cases isn’t a straight-up ROAS goal. It’s aMER, NCPA or something like this. Get clear about and focus on that metric as the Northstar metric for your campaigns.

It’s super important to have a clear goal because otherwise, you don’t know if you’re missing it or hitting it.
